A fine example of an APA brought to you by the folks at @agars_brewery . The pour on this stunningly medium caramel coloured ale is smooth as silk and coaxes an ample head that sits there and allows for wonderment. When you snap out of the automatic hypnosis you realize that some tasting needs to be carried out. The first sip sends you to a place of hoppy nirvana. There is a a nice malty caramel on the nose that supports the hops beautifully in in the mouth. There is some hop citrus notes towards the end that is so well restrained that you can barely pick it up but you know that it’s the very fine thread that holds it all together. The finish is moderately dry with a nice snappy bitterness that has the desired effect of making you want to drink more. This is, for sure, one of the best APAs I’ve had the pleasure of drinking. It gets a robust 4,7 out of 5 bottle caps.
